The Role 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Crime Prevention Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for the second line Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and play a central part in safeguarding our business against financial crime. This position also offers the potential for development into the role of “Designated Officer” (särskilt utsedd befattningshavare), as defined under Swedish regulations.

Your Mission

• Act as the first point of contact for the second line MLRO, escalating and coordinating financial crime-related matters.
  

• Monitor and analyze transactions, accounts, and customer activity to detect and prevent potential financial crime.
  

• Conduct investigations into suspicious activity and prepare clear, concise reports for internal escalation and regulatory submission.
  

• Support the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of AML/CTF, fraud, sanctions frameworks, and market abuse.
  

• Liaise with internal teams, regulators, and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  

• Advise on regulatory obligations and emerging risks related to financial crime prevention.
  

• Deliver training and raise awareness of financial crime risks across the business.
  

• Stay up to date with regulatory developments, typologies, and industry best
  

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You...

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  

• Have proven experience of 3+ years in financial crime, AML/CTF, compliance, fraud prevention, market abuse or a related discipline.
  

• Have strong knowledge of relevant regulations and frameworks (e.g., AML/CTF, FATF, OFAC, EU Directives, or equivalent).
  

• Have excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  

• Have strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and effectively.
  

• Have professional certifications (e.g. Swedsec license “Ledning och Kontroll”) are highly desirable.
  

• Have knowledge of Swedish AML regulations as well as the Market Abuse Regulation .
