The role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team. As Legal Counsel at SAVR, you will play a pivotal role in navigating the legal and regulatory framework of the financial services industry and providing strategic legal advice on a variety of business matters. You will work closely with a number of stakeholders, advising on commercial contracts, data privacy, corporate governance, and regulatory issues in the rapidly evolving fintech space.

What we are looking for:

• Swedish law degree
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience from a law firm, company or financial institution
• Experience in corporate law and commercial contracts as well as an interest in data protection issues
• Experience in banking, finance or insurance is advantageous but not a requirement
• A strong initiator and self starter, identifying issues and risks independently
• A prestigeless team player with high integrity and skilled in communication, with a proven track record of relationship building and stakeholder management
• Ability to explain purposes, objectives and risks to non legal stakeholders
• Excellent working skills in Swedish as well as English is required

We believe you have/are

• Review different types of agreements including consultancy-, supplier- or cooperation agreements and draft simpler agreements yourself
• Conduct legal investigations and support your senior colleagues
• Identify and assess potential risks in handling data
• Continuously review compliance with GDPR and internal regulations
• Work proactively by educating the organization on data protection issues and ensure that these are high on the agenda
• Carry out inspections and impact assessments and work closely with the external Data Protection Officer
• Support during implementation and follow-up of policies, guidelines and new legal requirements
• Support the product development teams by early ensuring that new products meet legal requirements and internal guidelines
